Stacey Dash was taken into custody on a domestic battery charge following a domestic disagreement with her husband.
Stacey Dash was arrested for domestic battery after an incident on Sunday night in New Port Richey, Florida. The “Clueless” actress was taken into custody after an argument with her husband, Jeffrey Marty, she is accused of pushing and slapping him. According to a criminal complaint Marty sustained red scratches to his arm from being pushed.
Stacey Dash was the one who called the Police to her home on Sunday evening “to report the domestic dispute” between the two. Stacey was then transported to the Land O’ Lakes detention facility without incident.
She posted bail and was released on Monday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Pasco County Sheriff. She has entered a not-guilty plea and demanded a trial by jury. She said while under oath that she has;
“no property such as land, houses or buildings, automobiles, stocks or bonds, or other things of value or money sufficient in value to pay the costs of a lawyer.”
Stacey’s manager, Nick Terry, just put out a statement claiming our report of Stacey’s husband choking her was “untruthful.” However, if you listen to the 911 call, you hear Stacey very clearly state her husband put her in a chokehold and claim she had marks around her neck. Check it out below.
According to Pasco County Court records, Jeffrey Marty shelled out $500 to free the 52 year-old, from the Land-O-Lakes Detention Facility on Monday morning. Stacey Dash’s husband pinned a tweet to his Twitter account in which he says he loves his wife just days after she was arrested for allegedly assaulting him.
The post, which Jeffrey Marty initially posted last April, shows a photo of the couple kissing in the background with a biblical quote in the foreground. The Clueless actress headed to trial on Wednesday after she pleaded not guilty to a domestic battery charge. Dash is facing a sentence of up to one year in prison after she allegedly attacked Marty following a fight with her stepdaughter.
